Paul Newman was found tied and starved in an abandoned garage.  He was rescued by Suzanne Fitch of Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue.  He now lives in a happy and loving home in New York.  He is extremely sweet and exceptionally smart.  People cannot resist interacting with him.  He is incredibly popular wherever he goes.  His therapy dog duties have taken him to rehabilitation centers and assisted living facilities throughout the country.  Paul Newman recently was named one of the winners in the Science Diet Simple Essentials Treats Video Contest.   He is the winner of the 1st Annual OPIN Pet Tail Award for Best Musical Tail.  He has won Best in Show at the Riverfest Dog Contest.  Paul Newman recently shot a commercial for Google, and has appeared on PET TALK with Lauren Collier.  Paul Newman is a very focused dog who works well in front of the camera and who likes to perform.  He is charismatic, commands attention, and would make any project or product unforgettable.  If you are considering a dog for your next film, TV, print or advertising project, PAUL NEWMAN IS THE DOG YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!

TRAINER/HANDLER:

Karen Wells, CPDT has been training dogs for 15 years and has a personal practice in New York City.  She is certified by the Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers, a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors.  She is a certified Good Citizen evaluator for the American Kennel Club, and is a member of Delta Society and Good Dog Foundation.  She has lectured on a variety of canine behavior topics, including Clicker Training and  Separation Anxiety.  Professional handling credits include a Google commercial, “Bernadette Peters: A Special Concert for Broadway Barks Because Broadway Cares”, and the TV series “Noodle & Doodle” for Sprout Network.  Karen is the Resident Trainer for Mid-Atlantic Basset Hound Rescue and has been featured in the New York Times and Stamford Advocate (click here).
